“Decorating a fun fair game stall is somewhat similar to curating an art exhibition. My grandfather was a master at this. The highest prizes had to be on the top shelf in theory, but in order to make things work aesthetically some liberties had to be taken. Words like “harmony” and “variation” were often mentioned. I learned a lot from this. Every time I work with still life elements, I think of my grandfather.”
