“In 1990, we stayed for seven weeks in Kristiansand in Norway. The fair was spread out near the sea. Some rides were in small parks on their own. It was beautiful and magical to see the rides in nature. They looked like big constructivist sculptures that were in a dialogue with the surroundings. I clearly remember walking with my mother at the harbor front enjoying the beautiful sight and listening to the sound of the ocean.”
