The sculpture is exploring the deconstruction of a form primarily designed for human convenience and proportion. The sculpture is based on a photograph of a production line of the Fritz Hansen chair in an attempt to combine the ideas of simultaneous ruination and production, where in both cases the pieces are fragmented, pointing to a state of permanent incompleteness. The stack of seats becomes a monolithic fossilised stack of jesmonite casts, heavy and fragile alluding to a distorted scaled down monument.
