The sculpture is a retraced skeleton of a folding chair, replicated in copper and steel/brass and steel. When folded, the three-dimensional object becomes two-dimensional and dysfunctional, concealing its original shape. The fold has seemingly merged with the object, directing the new shape towards abstraction. With its function left behind, the remaining metal structures only hint at a possible re-assembly of a now incomplete and faulty object.
