The sculpture is the retraced perimeter of the artist studio replicated in steel. Mounted on hinges, the structure is flexible and can adopt various configurations depending on its surrounding space....
The sculpture is the retraced perimeter of the artist studio replicated in steel. Mounted on hinges, the structure is flexible and can adopt various configurations depending on its surrounding space. It is seemingly translating architecture into an object that viewers can walk through and around. Its inability to contain space is suggestive of a ruined architecture pointing to a lost and invisible whole. When unfolded the structure takes the shape of the room.
