This site specific installation in the Duveen Gallery of the Tate Britain invites viewers to visualise Mantra using repeated shapes in place of repeated words. Participants are encouraged to reflect, contemplate and create using mirrored geometrics, collectively creating a shimmering, ephemeral surface across the door of the Duveen gallery space.
Giant geometric paper shapes are placed in the middle of the door space, with viewers invited to move and manipulate them to create their own patterns. Viewed from above, the entire door area is illuminated and animated by a constantly growing and changing reflective pattern, reminiscent of a sequinned veil.
